Then it is believed that Lord Shiva to lure his son back created a special stream of kheer so that its sweet smell will reduce his anger. The journey when it starts from kasol gives you a chance to look into the culture and lifestyle of people in villages. Kasol is a place which every year attracts a lot of travelers which is good for kheerganga trek too. The height of the altitude for kheerganga trek is around 3500 meters. But this altitude is not that tall so it proves to be one of the easy treks for people. During summers when you reach kheerganga trek you can directly visit the hot spring that is also known as parvati kund. In winters there will be a drop in temperature and you can find snow everywhere whereas in summer snow is replaced by greenery everywhere. It is at a low altitude so you can plan your trip with your families. Tosh and Malan are some nearby locations that you can visit here at kheerganga trek. Rudra Nag is situated at 2700 m and Kasol at 1580 meters. This trek can be covered at any point in the year  including all the 12 months.
